Drawing on nearly a decade’s worth of experience developing machine learning methods in domains ranging from medical imaging to environmental health, Yuri Levin-Schwartz, Ph.D., support clients on intellectual property matters related to technologies, including:

Clients spanning the spectrum from individual inventors to Fortune 100 companies rely on Dr. Levin-Schwartz for technological advice concerning validity, infringement, and patentability.  Within MBHB, Dr. Levin-Schwartz is a member of both the Thought Leadership Committee and Client Development Committee.  He also writes frequently about a variety of IP matters, including state-level machine learning and AI legislation.

Prior to joining MBHB, Dr. Levin-Schwartz developed methods to use medical imaging data to detect and describe neurological disorders and diseases.  He also investigated the impact of environmental exposures, such as metals and air pollution, on brain and kidney health.  While at law school, Dr. Levin-Schwartz served as president of the Intellectual Property Law Society.

When not at MBHB, Dr. Levin-Schwartz enjoys reading, biking, and playing table tennis.

  • Composed trademark usage guidelines for compliance officers at and influencers associated with a medical start-up company
  • Co-authored an amicus brief before the Supreme Court of the United States focused on AI inventorship
  • Wrote invalidity and non-infringement opinions for a major telecommunications company in preparation for litigation
