Our assignment system allows professionals to develop relationships with partners and clients in the technology fields of their choice. While we love patent law, we also have passions outside of the legal industry. Our firm is made up of musicians, athletes, parents, coaches and more. Growth and development

MBHB is proud to support our practitioners as they study for the patent bar exam or pursue law degrees. Offerings include scholarships, reduced billable hour requirements, and dedicated mentorship from senior attorneys.

MBHB offers many opportunities for continuing education through in-house CLE and educational sessions. From webinars to lunch-and-learns, many of our programs are developed by our own attorneys, law clerks, patent agents and technical advisors.

People who thrive at MBHB are highly curious and technically adept legal strategists. To better support our people, MBHB offers both informal and formal mentoring programs. Seasoned attorneys and professionals within the firm are always willing to offer advice and provide hands-on experience to newer practitioners, including face time with clients.  

Our summer associate program offers law students a deep dive into all areas of patent law. Summer associates work closely with partners to draft patent applications, write freedom-to-operate opinions, attend client presentations, complete legal research, develop thought leadership content, and more.   

MBHB offers guidance and resources to our professionals to support their growth and development. Many of our professionals join the firm as technical advisors – some decide to pursue a law degree while others remain on a patent agent track. Our accelerated client development program provides close guidance to attorneys who are on the path to partnership. From workshops hosted by outside experts to one-on-one coaching meetings, this program gives attorneys the tools they need to grow their careers.
