Overview

Allison Williams is an experienced patent attorney in the firm’s Mechanical & Materials Practice Group. Clients seek her expertise and thoughtful legal counsel for all facets of utility and design patent preparation and prosecution in the U.S. and abroad.  Ms. Williams supports clients by preparing freedom to operate, validity, non-infringement, and patentability opinions. She works with clients of varying sizes, from startups to Fortune 500 organizations, to develop tailored strategies for each client.

With a background in general engineering, Ms. Williams understands and works to protect her client’s innovations across many technologies with a particular focus in the mechanical and electromechanical arts.  In addition to her legal experience, she worked in engineering and design at Rexam, a multi-national consumer packaging company, now a part of the Ball Corporation. Her education and experience enable her to understand multi-faceted inventions and craft robust patents on behalf of her clients.

Ms. Williams is a member of the firm’s Diversity & Inclusion committee.
