Alexa Dian supports clients in the mechanical and materials industry through all phases of patent prosecution. Mrs. Dian draws on her academic background in mechanical and aerospace engineering to counsel clients on intellectual property strategy related to a variety of technologies, including:

In addition to her patent practice, clients from individual inventors, startups, and Fortune 500 companies seek Mrs. Dian’s guidance on maintaining global trademark portfolios and developing global brand building and protection strategies. She regularly conducts sophisticated trademark searches, conducts teleconferences with Examiners on patent matters and Examining Attorneys on trademark matters, and renders clearance, validity, and infringement opinions involving both patent and trademark rights. Mrs. Dian applies her previous experience in both the automotive and piping industries to her current work.

Outside of her work as a patent attorney, Mrs. Dian enjoys spending time exploring Chicago with her husband and daughter, reading novels, and working on travelling to see all of the professional baseball stadiums with her extended family.
