MBHB names new partners

MBHB, a full-service intellectual property law firm, recently elected four new equity partners and promoted one associate to income partner. Alexander Georges, Aaron Gin, Ph.D., George “Trey” Lyons III, and Amir Shenouda, Ph.D., became equity partners with the firm, and Margot Wilson was promoted from associate to income partner.

Mr. Georges prepares and prosecutes patent applications in numerous technical fields, specializing in electrical engineering, computer hardware and software. Mr. Georges earned a J.D. from the Chicago-Kent College of Law, an MBA from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.

Dr. Gin prepares and prosecutes U.S. and foreign applications for patents and trademarks. He also advises clients on patent validity, infringement and patentability. Dr. Gin earned a J.D. from the Northwestern Pritzker School of Law, a doctorate in electrical and computer engineering from Northwestern University, a master’s degree in electrical engineering from Stanford University, and a bachelor’s degree in electrical and computer engineering from Valparaiso University.

Mr. Lyons litigates and appeals intellectual property matters for clients before the United States Patent and Trademark Office, U.S. District Courts and U.S. Courts of Appeals. Mr. Lyons earned a J.D. from the University of Mississippi School of Law, a master’s degree in physics from the University of Mississippi, and bachelor’s degrees in physics and mathematics from the University of Mississippi.

Dr. Shenouda prepares and prosecutes U.S. and foreign applications for patents in the mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, telecommunications and computer technology industries. He also provides validity, infringement and patentability analyses. Dr. Shenouda earned a J.D. from The John Marshall Law School (now the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law), a doctorate in mechanical engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology, a master’s degree in electrical engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology, a master’s degree in mechanical engineering from Gannon University and a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the American University in Cairo.

Ms. Wilson works with clients across a range of industries, including medical devices, consumer electronics, mechanical, and computer science, to develop comprehensive intellectual property strategies and secure IP rights for complex systems and technologies. Ms. Wilson earned a J.D. from the Chicago-Kent College of Law and a bachelor’s degree in nuclear, plasma and radiological engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
