Intellectual property law firm MBHB is proud to announce it has earned Mansfield Certification Plus from the Diversity Lab for 2023-24. Mansfield is a year-long, structured certification process that the firm has committed to since 2021 to ensure talented individuals have a fair and equal opportunity to advance into leadership. The Mansfield Rule requires law firms to promote transparency in the advancement process by considering at least 30% of historically underrepresented groups for leadership opportunities.
“At our firm, diversity is not just a value but a cornerstone of our success in safeguarding our clients’ innovations through robust IP strategies,” said Daniel Pozdol, MBHB managing partner. “Receiving this acknowledgment from the Diversity Lab affirms our commitment to fostering an inclusive environment where diverse talents, perspectives and experiences thrive.”
To achieve the Mansfield Certification Plus designation, MBHB voluntarily provided data to Diversity Lab to show progress and outcomes of the firm’s efforts to broaden talent pools and increase the visibility of its advancement processes. This transparency allows MBHB and Diversity Lab to celebrate progress and to identify areas with continued opportunities for improvement.
“Achieving Mansfield Certification Plus is a significant achievement for our firm,” said Jori Fuller, MBHB partner and co-Chair of the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion committee. “The process has allowed us to continue to focus on enhancing representation across all levels of leadership across MBHB. We’re proud of our ongoing progress to build diverse, high-performing teams.
In addition, MBHB offers a Diversity and Inclusion Fellowship to summer associates. Recipients are eligible to receive up to $20,000 toward law school tuition or other school-related expenses. The firm also offers all practitioners billable hour credit for approved pro bono and diversity efforts.
