Taylor Weilnau supports life sciences clients in all phases of patent prosecution, portfolio management, and intellectual property strategy and litigation. Ms. Weilnau draws from her academic background in molecular biology and biochemistry, as well as her professional experience in medical academia, to provide clients comprehensive support on intellectual property matters involving molecular biology, genomics, biologics and biosimilars, diagnostic technologies, pharmaceutical biotechnology, and artificial intelligence in biotechnology.
In addition to her legal services, Ms. Weilnau researches and advocates for diversity in the intellectual property profession and among the clients represented within the U.S. intellectual property system. In 2023, she was selected by the firm as a recipient of MBHB’s Diversity and Inclusion Fellowship. At MBHB, Ms. Weilnau is a member of the Diversity and Inclusion Committee and Women’s Group.
While at law school, Ms. Weilnau served as the president of both of the Intellectual Property Law Society and Health Law Society. Ms. Weilnau was the 2024 Northeast Regional Winner of the AIPLA Giles Sutherland Rich Moot Court Competition, where she also was awarded Best Brief Score. She was also awarded the Robert C. Podwil Memorial Prize, which is awarded annually to the Temple Law graduate who demonstrates excellent academic performance in intellectual property.
Prior to joining MBHB, Ms. Weilnau was a researcher at Brigham & Women’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School, where she conducted research related to environmental exposures and their relationship to adverse pregnancy outcomes.
Outside of her work at MBHB, Ms. Weilnau is an avid runner, golfer, trained singer, and audiophile with a growing record collection.
